Acquiring a Second Language as a Mother Language

One of the goals at Happy Marian is to establish an English language program whereby learning English is treated not as an academic subject, but in the same context as a native speaker would learn his or her mother tongue. We hope to focus this style of learning on children aged 3-12. This is an optimal time for children to be able to acquire a language as opposed to when they are older and less susceptible. 。

At Happy Marian we use the whole language approach to learning English. Not only do we concentrate on the language ability of 3-12 year old children, we are also concerned with the children's whole personality. We try to instill well rounded minds, positive attitude, sense of responsibility, knowledge, and confidence. Children should take advantage of the program to enhance their talent, leadership ability and excellence in English. This is our teaching goal.
